Terms of Service
Last updated: July 26, 2026
1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern the use of the PingBacks platform, including the website, API, dashboard, and customer wallet (together, the "Service"), operated by PingBacks GmbH. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
2. The Service
PingBacks is a cross-provider loyalty platform that allows participating hosting providers ("Providers") to award and redeem loyalty points ("PingBacks") for their customers ("Customers") via an open REST API and shared wallet.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Provider accounts are subject to admin approval before activation.
4. Points and Redemptions
- PingBacks points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for currency.
- Points are awarded and redeemed at the discretion of the issuing Provider, subject to configured multipliers.
- Providers are responsible for honoring redemptions made against points they issued or that are valid across the network.
- PingBacks maintains an audit-proof, double-entry ledger of all transactions.
5. API Use
Access to the API is provided via API keys issued to approved Providers. You agree not to abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the API, and to keep your API keys and webhook secrets confidential. We reserve the right to rate-limit or suspend access in case of misuse.
6. Fees
Provider accounts are subject to the pricing plan selected at registration, as described on our Pricing page. Fees are billed as agreed and are non-refundable except as required by law.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a security risk to the platform or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.
8. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, PingBacks GmbH is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by German law. See our Imprint for jurisdiction and contact details.
